just checking in

we finally got snow this weekend but it isn't staying around for long and we didn't get a whole bunch of it. it is really funny because this year we are actually looking forward to the snow. we got the yard all cleaned on saturday just in time for the snow. we made through halloween with some nice weather and now we are ready for the snow so it can start to feel wintery and more like christmas. although i've never really grown up with snow for christmas. it much be all of the movies and tv shows that show that snow and christmas go together. i noticed yesterday in the store that they are already playing christmas music while you shop. now i love christmas music but it does seem a little bit early. then again maybe not we do have less than 60 days for christmas. need to get all of my christmas stuff done better start working faster and stop playing on the computer so much. so if i am even worse at blogging than i already am don't worry i haven't disappeared just busy with the christmas stuff. i try though to update as often as i can remember.

Hy was a character from an anime show that he watches. i think that his name miruko or something like that.



















kay was of course the corpse bride. i think that her costume turned out pretty good everyone really liked it and she didn't have to tell anyone what she was so that has to tell you that we did a good job on it right.


















here is the only picture i got of jeh because he decided that he was going to take off that night and wasn't around to get a picture of him later. it is a bit blurry because he wouldn't hold still long enough for me to take this picture.
this is a picture of my friends family they obviously went with the wizard of oz theme this year last year they did shrek. thought that they were really fun.

football

here are some pictures from the last football games. i didn't do a very good job of putting them on earlier in the season so you can at least see some from the last games. he really didn't do a whole lot this year since he is just learning but he did have a good time and is looking forward to playing again next year. maybe he will become a great running back and allow me to retire early. his team did really well this year. i think that they won or tied more games than they lost. but no one was really keeping score at most of them. they were able to move the ball alot more than the other teams they played so that shows they were doing pretty good. foot ball is now over until next year. yeah. but i think basketball is coming next.

christmas stuff

here is what our theme is for decorating this year. i found the book at a quilting shop and totally feel in love. the top picture are what i have finished so far and the bottom two show the ornaments and the finished tree skirt. kay is going to help make the ornaments and she is looking forward to it. i tried to do the blanket stiching on my machine but it didn't look as good. hopefully i will have it all done by the first of december so that we can start to decorate. im thinking that i will put some raffia bows on the tree too any other ideas?

waterpark fun

here are some pictures from our trip to the waterpark. the kids had a ton of fun. kay brought along a friend. they pretended to be supermodels they were cracking me up.

new addition

here is our newest addition to the family. it is really cute but don't let the yellow fuzziness decieve you it is loud and annoying and the kids will not leave it alone. neither will our kitten marilyn for that matter. phill is in vancouvor for the week and he won't be back untill after his birthday. so i guess we celebrate after. still not sure what we get him but we'll find something fun im sure. football is almost over thank goodness because it is really starting to get cold and we all know how much i love the cold. i literally go to the games now with a down coat and two blankets to wrap around me. i am a pansy i know but it is really cold. tonight i get to take the kids to the waterpark. it should be fun. since phill isn't going i can actually go down the water slide if i remember i will take the camera for some pictures. i have taken pictures of jeh playing but football but i can't find them on the computer i know that they are there somewhere. i hate finding things on the computer. anyway that is life for right now. i have noticed how bad i have been at blogging i will try to do better in the future.
