party prep and more

here is the cake for jeh's party tomorrow. i think that it turned our really good. jeh really likes is so that is a bonus i guess that i didn't do to bad of a job then. i still have a ton of things to get done for the party but i think it will all be done in time.

othere than party prep things have been good. except for the fact that the van has decided be on the fritz again. who knows what its problem is this time. all i know is that the air conditioner isn't working and the speedometer and odometer are both not working too. it makes for difficult driving for phill. it has been way too hot for him to be driving all over the place in. we took it in this morning which we had an appointment for but they didn't get to it because they were so busy. we had the first appointment ofthe day we should have been first in. oh well what can i do about it. nothing but complaing lucky you all you get to hear about it or maybe really just read about it. so hopefully i will be able to get some good pictures tomorrow and then i can post them soon. if i remember. until then bye for now.

you know a dog will sleep anywhere but how about the kids. these cracked me up they must have been really sleepy.

planning the party

here are the invites for jeh's birthday party. we are doing an egyptian party this year. i will get some pictures during the party then i will post them. it is next week and i think that i'm just about ready for it. i'm just having a hard time with the fact that he is going to be 9 this year. it just doesn't seem possible. we are going to have a scavenger hunt for king tuts treasure, wrap the mummy game and a water relay so it should be fun and crazy i'm sure.

harry potter

well the book is in and of course because it was the last one we had to go to the party. here are the kids all dressed up in the costumes.
one of the activities the had durning the night. they were sorted into houses and joe and i got together and hy and kay were together. jeh and i were in hufflepuff and hy andkay were in slytherin
i think i took this picture of jeh at about midnight or so they were pretty tired by the end of the night
you can see the back of hy and kay in this picture they were haveing a cheer off with the different houses and their team won. it was so crazy and loud in there and the heat was incredible

here is a picture of the line up for the book. i was some where in the middle of the line. but i was standing all the way at the back of the store. it was fun but really hot in there.

i am now reading the book before the kids because i couldn't wait for them to read it first. half way through it right now i should probably have it done by tomorrow night at least i hope i will.

walmart sucks!!

i only say this because i went into do some shopping the other day and do you know what they had up already......shool supplies. can you even believe it. we have only been out of school for about three weeks and now i have to be reminded that we have to go back soon. i'm so not looking forward to it. i like school for the fact that it keeps the kids busy during the day and all but i'm not ready to get back into the swing of school now. book fairs, sports, assemblies, parent teacher conferences. all of these things mean non-stop running until the weekend and then even on the weekend sometimes. i just don't feel like i have recovered from last year yet and now everytime i go to walmart im going to be reminded that it is going to start all over again. and this is why walmart sucks!
