here is what our family decided to do today. it was actually a dry day and we ventured out into our yard and the kids discovered that the ditch beside our yard was full of water and that gave them the idea to make some boats and float them down the ditch. it was kind of fun to see how we each made something different and how they each floated. in this first picture the boats are kayla's, phill's, mine, joe's, and hyrum's. if you notice on joe's his boat is equipped with cannons.
my sail wouldn't stay put so kay held it in place and this is what it
looked like.

notice the hockey stick. this is what we use them for. we have one but i don't think that any of us has ever used it on the ice. none of us are good enough skaters for that. so we will just use it to help our boats travel through the water.
the dogs were also quite helpful. oh wait no they weren't. they couldn't figure out what the heck we were doing. they wanted to eat the boats.
