Spring....

where are you? I am so in the mood for spring. I keep thinking that it is the end on February and that the sun should be shining and be warm. I am longing to wear my capris and flip flops. I keep reading on some of the other blogs that I read that they are starting to get spring. One actually had pictures of flowers blooming in her yard. I'm so jealous and I can't wait until the tulips that I planted along the walk start to sprout. The kids have been out of school all week for what is spring break up here, but they are lacking the spring part. The sun has been trying to come out but it is still in the negative numbers when it does. It is really starting to depress me because I want spring so much. I guess that I have a pretty bad case of cabin fever. Need something to brighten my mood some. Maybe I will buy some tulips this weekend and put them on the table. That will help to brighten things a bit. Any way I hope that it is warming up where ever you are and you are starting to enjoy the beauty of spring.

Three weeks

That is all the time that Phill has left in school. It is so great. we are almost done with this and I think that I can make it that many more weeks, MAYBE! The ILs have been gone for the last two weeks and have only been back for a couple of days and I think that I might kill someone. It is just the little things that are annoying. If you would like something done than ask someone and don't just hint around because if you don't get any ones attention stuff will not get done. That is just common sense. But this is only temporary and will be over soon. You know the worst part is that Phill is just fine and comfortable and doesn't understand why I get so uptight at time. Any ways that is enough of a rant for now.

fun pages

I was making my page, by the way this is my new hair cut that I gave myself, and Kay saw it and wanted to give it a try on the computer too. So here is both of our layouts. She did a really good job, seeing as this is her first attempt using Photoshop.

Here is another page that I made today. I have been pretty much bored out of my mind today. Phill has gone to his brother's house for the weekend leaving me all alone. Needless to say I have really only done scrapbooking today and no cleaning. I guess that I'm going to have to do it quickly Monday morning as I'm not going to do any tomorrow. And I'll just pray that no one wants to come over or Phill happens to pop home early. The snow is almost gone now which has just left a crazy soupy mess in the streets. It is really icy too. We got the okay from the insurance company to get the van fixed too. Which is a really great thing and because it was a deer our insurance rates won't go up. Thank heavens! If we didn't have insurance I think that we would be driving around in a broken van for awhile. It amazes me how much mechanics are and most of the cost is all labor.

well here is another scrapjacked page. I really like these pictures of Kay and her cat, Sammy. That cat loves her and only her. I think that the feeling is mutual though. I'm afraid that she might end up as the crazy cat woman from the Simpsons. here is the page i was supposed to jack and here is my take.

Enough Already!!

I have had it with all of the snow lately. We got all of this snow in two days it did absolutely nothing but snow. And it was cold. The little bird was hanging out in the shed door way trying to get warm. I tried to catch it and bring it in the house but it kept running away from me. Besides I think that the cat might have wanted to keep the poor thing warm in his belly. All we have been doing is shoveling and re shoveling the walks just so we can get in and out of the house. I don't think that mother nature has listened to the groundhog when he said he saw his shadow. We are supposed to have and early spring and I don't see it coming yet.

I still haven't taken any pictures of my new hair cut yet. I'll have to try to remember to do it tomorrow.

Hair and deer

okay I got completely sick and tired of my hair it was getting way too long and I just don't have the money right now to go to the saloon so I did the next best thing I cut it myself. no one was home and it needed to be done. I think that I ended up cutting about six to eight inches off. It looks pretty good for doing it myself you would never know unless you were told and you just were so I guess you all know now. I'll try to get pictures up tomorrow.

now for the deer part of the blog. Phill had a deer run into the van on his way home from school tonight. so now we are missing the right head light and the bottom panel of the passenger door. It really isn't that bad and hopefully it will be an easy fix but who knows. That is life. Phill says that it is the second deer to run at him this week. Last night one tried to run into the back of the van, but he missed. Phill was saying that this must be the same one and it just had a death wish. He had even seen it in the ditch before he got close to it and slowed way down and moved to the other lane so as not to scare it, but like he said it had a death wish and jumped right in to the van. It is a good thing he slowed down or the damage might have been worse, but it isn't that awful. It just wasn't a very convenient time for it to happen, but does anything really ever happen on your time frame.

The newest blog that I have discovered is the scrapjacked one that is on the side. The basic idea is that they scrapjack a page from a major designer then they give everyone the opportunity to try it out and submit it on their blog. Elsie Flannigan, who is my fav designer, was their pick for the week here is my submission

Updated page

I updated my page today and added some of my favorite places that i like to go and visit daily. most of them are some kind of craft or scrapbooking thing. They inspire me and usually give me a boost of happiness whenever i read them. Take a look and enjoy as well.

Sick, Spring and Socks.

So I haven't been on for awhile due to illness. I have been so, so sick this last week finally feeling better. That is until I started reading some other blogs that I normally read and they are talking about spring and how they can tell it is just around the corner. Well it in not here and won't be around up here for many, many weeks if not longer. Being an Oregon girl I too have been getting spring fever and feel that it should start showing soon. But then I am rudely awaken from my dreaming the minute that I go outside and freeze to death. So to help me with my depression about the cold I have gone and done what any good girl would do that loves to be with out shoes. I went sock shopping to keep those poor shoeless toes warm. My new favorite place to get socks is at the dollar store. Here is a picture of some of them that I got today.

Some thing else that has made me happy lately has been my tucs. Phill says they are funny but I love them and they keep me warm. As you can tell I am all about the warmth.
The light was really shining in this picture. This is just the newest one that I got today. Anyway I seem to be back and healthy for the time being and hopping that that darn groundhog is right and spring will be here sooner than later.
