edmonton

well i have been gone for a few days i went to edmonton to interpret for my friend colleen who is deaf while she was doing a sugar pulling class. it was so cool to watch what she was doing and now i really want to try it myself. here are a few pictures of things that you can make out of sugar. they aren't exactly what she made but you can kind of see what is possible to do with it. i think that it will be fun to try and learn and because i went to the class as and interpreter i didn't have to pay all the money for the class which is cool but i got the same info it just might be a little harder for me to do it without someone guiding me along. it was a really fun trip and it was nice to have sometime away from the kids but i don't think that they missed me one bit. from what i can gather they were way better behaved with phill than they are with me because there was nothing but fighting all morning this morning and kay said that the boys never acted that way with dad. go figure. any way that is all that is happening right now except for the rain it won't go away but the kids are still going swimming. they only close the pool down if there is thunder and lightning. the kids tell me that the water is really warm i think i'll wait until the weather is a bit nicer before i go

dance, dance, dance

there are tons of pictures in this post the dance recital went well last night. kayla did very well here are some of the better pictures it was hard taking pictures while they are moving so some of them are a little blurry but i think that it makes it so that you can tell there was motion going on. the ballet was the Emperor's Waltz and the jazz dance was to You Can't Stop the Beat, from hairspray. her ballet costume doesn't quite fit her right so she looks a little slumped over because if she stand she will fall out. and she has the skirt to high so i will have her pull it down tomorrow. i made the pictures a little smaller in this post so that it wouldn't take so long to upload since there are so many. enjoy the pictures.

soccer

i realized today that i haven't really posted any soccer pictures and nothing of hy lately at all. so here are some pictures from one of hy's games. he is playing forward which is a change because they usually have him on defense but he's not to bad as a forward. not as fast but he has a good kick and he isn't afraid to get in and play. his team has had a pretty shakey season this year. the haven't won to many games but they are all having fun and they do pass the ball and play well together. and the weather really isn't cooperating very well either. here it is june and we are still gettting rained on all the time. so sun and warmth would be nice.
