13 already

Day 8: Happy Birthday Kay!!!
i can't believe that she is 13 years old. it is so unreal. she is really starting to look more like a young woman and not a little girl and i know that it is all just down hill from here on out. no more little girl!!!! we just went to phill's parents house yesterday for a small get together. her party with all of her friends is going to be in a couple of weeks. she is going to have a water park party. so all of the big stuff will wait until then. the hormone thing i am hoping will clam down in a year or so because im not to sure both of us will make it. i'm glad i only have the one girl. i can't even imagine what a house full would be like. way too scary of a thought. kay has started getting more interested in her looks. she is always trying new hair dos, but mostly it is just fly away. she really needs a new straightener and not a cheap one like she has now but a good one from a salon or something. she has so much hair and this weather is not helpful one bit. it is frizzy more times than not and it doesn't matter how much product that is put into it. i'm thinking that i might take her to the salon and get her hair done for her birthday. it is time for her to get a style. she has really gotten into buying clothes lately and is discovering the enjoyment of sales. after christmas she went shopping and got a ton of clothes and didn't spend that much because of the sales. she really is a bargain shopper. she is babysitting a ton so she is making the money to go shopping. she has one or two jobs this weekend already and is excited about the shopping that she can go and do. unlike the boys she actually spends her money on something practical like clothes or shoes. the boys blow all of their money on candy, pop, and toys that are gone in minutes or are broken. it drives me crazy. they get their money and instead of waiting until they are in a bigger town where they can spend it they spend it all in the little shops in town where they are spending about three times more than they need to. i guess that is boys for you.

Happy Happy Birthday to Kayla. Sorry I missed being able to call. I'm so busy with work and then had other meetings on top of that. Love you and miss you. Love Grandma Adams
